Child Care Guidance

The South Carolina Department of Social Services is providing up-to-date information for child care providers and parents on its website. View up-to-date information at scchildcare.org.  

The SC Department of Social Services (DSS) must grant approval for temporary child care operations.  Effective Aug. 1, 2020, applications will be available for organizations interested in providing school time care, e-learning care, virtual learning care, and/or extended school time care due to schools not providing in-classroom instruction.
