Employers Filing Unemployment

The Employer Filed Claims process is efficient and convenient for businesses and their employees. To file claims on behalf of employees, follow these steps:

  • Step 1: Review information about filing Employer Filed Claims on behalf of  workers, including step-by-step instructions and links to FAQs related to the COVID-19 unemployment process on the SC DEW Employers page.
  • Step 2: Visit the Employer Self Service Portal login screen to begin filing an unemployment insurance claim on behalf of employees. Begin filing for your employees.

Important Reminder for Employers

To assist employers during the COVID-19 pandemic, the agency extended the first quarter UI tax payment deadline to June 1, 2020.

The wage report deadline was April 30, 2020. This information helps the agency support businesses and effectively respond to the statewide employment fluctuations. If you have not done so, please take a moment to submit your wage report now.
